Cor'Zanth Aren was the most senior of the surviving Grand Masters who fell to Grid. As the Cabir had been gravely injured in the fall, and could no longer continue in his position of foremost authority, Zanth Aren found himself guiding the effort to make sense of the predicament of the survivors. 

As was his way, he documented his life regularly, only in the case of his Grid Journals, he managed only to do this intermittently at best. His surviving story reveals the depth of dismay first felt by the survivors, the joy at their renewed contact, the sense of purpose and future that came from locating the lost ones, and the sense of settlement that eventually meant Grid became home to so many.
